Research interests
My research focuses on the changes in the Greenland Ice Sheet under possible future climate scenarios, with a specific focus on the identification and analysis of state transitions and the potential for ice sheet regrowth under certain climate conditions. In contrast to previous work, I apply a comprehensive coupled climate-ice sheet model. The model considers interactions and feedbacks between ice sheets and other components of the climate system, including the atmosphere, ocean and solid earth. This allows for a thorough analysis of the impact of the GrIS on the global atmospheric and oceanic circulation and vice versa.
