Research Interests
My research looks into the implications that physical parametrization and diffusive processes have on high resolution non-hydrostatic climate models and the large scale circulations they develop. I am working with ICON, the Icosahedral and non-hydrostatic climate model of the German Weather Service and the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, to understand the implications and optimal ways to setup its damping and physical parameterizations for kilometer scale simulations.
