About me

I am a PhD candidate interested in extreme events and their interaction with ocean biogeochemistry. My research focuses on marine heatwaves, low pH levels, and low oxygen extremes. Currently, I am using emission-driven MPI-ESM simulations to investigate how these extreme events are influenced by variations in atmospheric CO2 levels and the carbon fluxes among the atmosphere, ocean, and land. In future research, I plan to set up an ICON-based perfect-model framework to determine the predictability horizons of marine extremes under changing emissions. I am working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tatiana Ilyina and Dr. Hongmei Li.
