Lecture series - Transdisciplinary climate change research
What works when you do it right
Climate change is present, even in people's minds. Disasters in particular are on the increase, not only in Australia, Bangladesh or California, but also here on our doorstep in Germany. But what can we do to prepare ourselves? Against this background, the article examines the situation on the German North Sea coast and how transdisciplinary climate change research can contribute to meeting the challenges of sustainable climate change adaptation. If people feel safe and at the same time are tired of change, then information and scientific findings alone are not enough to deal with uncertainties and change familiar routines. Rather, it is a matter of breaking new ground and developing solutions together.
