KlimaCampus Kolloquium: Attribution of climate change to long-lived and short-lived forcers

A simple, but fully coupled model is used to attribute the climate feedbacks of temperature changes induced by emissions of a range of long-lived greenhouse gases and short-lived species, aerosols and tropospheric ozone precursors. I will show how the forcing of short-lived species can legate a long term effect on climate through their impact on the carbon cycle, and how the current radiative forcing can be attributed historical emissions from different regions.
