Tech Talks: ClimateClaw: AI-Assisted Climate Data Analysis

Christopher Kadow, Gizem Ekinci, Felix Oertel

ClimateClaw is an AI assistant designed to support climate scientists in working with complex datasets and analysis workflows in the DKRZ/HPC environment. This talk will give a brief overview of ClimateClaw, its main capabilities, and how it can help users move from natural-language questions to executable and reproducible workflows.
Using practical examples, we will show how users can discover datasets, generate Python code, create visualizations, and iterate on climate data analyses. A special focus will be on the Jupyter AI integration, which brings ClimateClaw directly into notebooks.
The talk is aimed at users interested in AI-assisted workflows for climate data analysis, especially in Python, Jupyter, and HPC environments.
