Tasks

The administration runs the day-to-day business of the MPI-M und supports the decision-making processes at the institute. The administration also helps the scientific research groups to meet their administrative tasks.

The administration aims to effectively manage and organize the budget, personal matters and housekeeping of the different locations of the MPI-M.


At the MPI-M there is a head of administration with six subordinate departments:

  • Personnel matters, incl. travel management
  • Budgeting, accounts
  • Purchasing
  • Third party funds
  • Guest relations
  • General Services
