Postdoc in the Hans Ertel Research Group: Precipitating Convection
I strive to understand shallow convection and clouds in the atmospheric boundary layer, how they interact with the surface and larger atmospheric scales and how to represent these processes and interactions in weather and climate models. My work covers a range of research stages, starting from a fundamental understanding of physical processes to the development of numerical models. By combining cloud-resolving simulations, theory and observations, I try to tackle long-standing questions related to atmospheric convection from a new and broad perspective.
