Here I provide a video-talk for the vEGU21 vPICO presentation. I talk about the variation of the climate feedback parameter in response to a spatiotemporal surface warming pattern.  Using a simple energy balance model, I briefly show that a better explanation for this variation comes from a temporarily increased thermal capacity of the ocean due to changes in the energy flux between ocean and atmosphere. The origin of the warming pattern and the variation of the climate feedback parameter become natural in this framework. Here in this link one can find more information about this topic. A preprint of the related paper is in this link.
