This study would analyze the response of the tropical circulation in the troposphere, or simply of the monsoon circulation, to the QBO phase. Essentially nothing has been done on this since my PhD thesis. The master thesis would make a similar analysis, but for the new ECHAM6 and MPI-ESM-MR simulations instead of the old ECHAM4 at T42L19.
