Joint Seminar: Deep organized convection : a view from above
In this talk, I will explore the drivers of organized deep convection over the tropical ocean using satellite based observations of convection, convective cloud systems and reanalysis. In particular I will try to promote the idea that what happens above the boundary layer is important to the fate of convective systems and to brush a more complete view of the tropospheric "bottom" traditional perspective on tropical deep convection.
