Climate change poses profound scientific challenges. At the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg we embrace these challenges, as we work to understand Earth´s changing climate.

We use the most advanced computers to build and run climate models that can test our ideas, and we develop and deploy instruments that can test our models. This task needs the most creative and determined minds.
